Meaning/Origin of the Flag

The Republic of Nakhchyvan uses as per its own constitution the flag of Azerbaijan. From the unofficial flag of the country – arised for the first time about 1990 in context with sezessional ambitions – are leastways known two variants which differ however only by the position of half-moon and star within the red stripe.
