Freiendiez ist seit 1938 ein Ortsteil der Stadt Diez im Rhein-Lahn-Kreis in Rheinland-Pfalz. Die Flagge zeigt die dem Wappen entnommen Stadtfarben und mittig das Wappen.

Freiendiez is a part of the town of Diez in the Rhein-Lahn district in Rhineland-Palatinate since 1938. The flag shows the city colors taken from the coat of arms and the coat of arms in the middle.

Flaggen sind auf jeden Fall ein Mittel der Identifikation. Man identifiziert sich – wenn überhaupt – immerhin mit der eigenen Nation, und hisst am Flaggenmast in seinem Vorgarten die Nationalflagge.
